Well i entitled this new thread pushing.
Here is my story, i hope some of you ladies can help me.

I am 40 yrs old, and 3 yrs ago, i got my first uti -ecoli infection. I was very ill, and the symptoms cleared eventually with biotics.
However constantly the uti symptoms came back. However a new symptom took hold.

Alot of the feelings of the uti some were infections some not showing.
The constant feeling of wanting to void was awfull and mostly at night, i could be on the toilet up to 60 times a day.

This was the feeling of wanting to push at night. It feels like there is always a bit left and i need to push out. And this can last all night. So bad that i cant sleep without tamazepam to help my bladder relax.

I did have a scan last year, all clear on the bladder but couldnt have the cycstoscopy as i was in the middle of ivf treatment.

However now i am due to have one in october, and i wondered if any of you ladies have this awful symptom or similair.

Sorry for the spelling mistakes . I am in the uk by the way

Oh, I remember that well, a lot of us have described it as feeling like we were "giving birth" to our bladders, lol. For me, Ditropan (oxybutynin; an anti-spasmodic) helped me out greatly with that symptom ;)

oh, lol great description. Yes, it is like pushing out your bladder, it seems to go into overdrive..omg...yes

Thank you tracy, for your reply, i hope to get more experiences also. Maybe at last after the cystoscopy, someone will diagnose me

Tamazepam, is great at knocking me to sleep, but doesnt get to the root of the problem.

Thanks :bonk:

I had that problem in the begining about ten time. My biggest problem is bad urgency. I had just had a root canal so I had some hydrocodon at home. It helped that feeling pretty well. So maybe try any type of pain med (tylonal ect.) For me the pushing came when there was no urgency. I thought at first it was in my head. I thought I was too focused on that area. I mean since this started it seems like what is going on down there makes or breaks my day. Good Luck

It does sound like IC is a possibility. If you can possibly avoid it, don't push and strain to get that last drop out. It will only make it worse. Hopefully your doctor can give you something to help relax those muscles.

Warm hugs,
Donna
