Hi! Everyone!
I was newly diagnosed on Sept 6th with IC after seeing my Urologist. I had been sent to him after my family doctor had treated me for an UTI infection with Antibiotics, and it never went away. I have been prone to getting them quite often. It started in 2001 when I had a prolapsed uterus, bladder, and rectum. The GYN gave me a total hysterectomy with bladder, and rectal repair. I have incontinence, and have been put on several meds. such as Detrol LA 4mg, Zyrtec 10mg and they did not work.

The pain right now is really bad, and the Urologist said he will not give me any pain meds. He will doing a bladder distention on me in the coming month.
I also have nuerological problems (Severe degenerative Disc Disease). Due to this I have had numerous fusions to my neck, and lower back. I also have IBD, and Fibromyalgia as well.
I have been told that they all go hand in hand.
Does anyone have all, or some of these Diagnosis? I am just curious how true this is, and any suggestions.
Thank you so much!!!!
I really appreciate it.
Meds: Mobic 7.5, Lipator10mg, Estradiol 10mg, Ambien 10mg

Hi NanaB and :welcome: to the gang! Nice to have you, sorry we all have to meet under the IC conditions though, ;) Yep, seems bladder troubles and IBS/IBD kind of all seem to come together, oh goody huh? We wouldn't want any body part to feel left out, hee hee ;)

I am sure there are more who will chime in who have some of the same things going on that you do, with better words of wisdom, ha ha. I just wanted to say :hi: and hope to see you around the boards!!

Hugs,
Tracey :)

Hi Nana :hi: :welcome: to the IC Network! As Tracey said it sucks we have to meet like this but I'm glad you found us. There is so much great support and info here.

I don't have IBS/IBD but I sure have the IC pain. It sucks that your uro won't give you any pain meds. I would make sure that he'll give you some after your hydrodenstention because most people need them afterwards. I know I sure did. You might want to check with your GP and see if they'll handle your pain management until at least you have they hydro done and see if that helps things. Luckily my GP knew at least a little about IC and knows how hard it is to treat and how painful it can be so he is giving me some pain meds. Hope you start to feel better soon :grouphug:
