How do i talk to the dr about PFD? I do not think he knows what it is , i have mentioned my symptoms to him before, and he keeps saying that everyones IC is different, and my urine is ok, and when i tell him about my pain,he just sits there, so, how can i suggest the PFD, or do i need to take it up with a different dr, this is the Uro Dr.(a new dr and only 3 IC clients) We are doing the 5 treatment instills this week.Thanks for any help

I have had Uro's figured out which pain is IC and which is PDF but it does not sound like that is going to happen for you. Go to a GYN. They will do an exam and figure out if it is PDF.

For me, the PDF is worse than the IC.

The doctor who dx'd me with PFD was my urogyn. My uro didn't know much about the pain I was having, it was the Urogyn who figured it out it was PFD.

Thanks for the advice. I will check on Monday, to see if there is a urogyn in this town.(There was one, but he moved..thank goodness.. )I had the 5th instill done today, and the nurse told me to call monday and let her know how my weekend went, and then they will decide if they need to do a cystro/hydro, or more instills.

Does anyone have any good information on PFD and IBS? I was just DX'd with both plus IC. Any information would be GREAT!!!!
