Have never had any symtoms till 9 months ago. It all started with a a heart attack and a foley catheter. Was diagnosed with BPH and suffered it for 6 months had a TURP but it did not releive my symptoms. Was finally diagnosed with ICabout 3 weeks ago. Have had a Hydrodistension about a week and a half ago. Still figureing out what I can east and what I cant. Never had this before ate what I wanted when i wanted. I feel trapped. Any words of incouragement?

The diet isn't all that bad once you get used to it. If you haven't read the information in the Patient Handbook, I think it would be a huge help for you. You'll find it at http://www.ic-network.com/handbook --- there's a section on the diet.

I know how you feel! Make sure you give the IC diet a shot. Try Prelief if you have something questionable. So many people are diet sensitive and you really need to give yourself time (some just need 2 weeks to tell if it helps while others need longer). I gave it over 2 months before I realized the only things that bother me are coffee, tea, and orange juice. Now, I had a herbal tea today that was fine and believe me, I am rejoicing!!! I know it is hard, but you need to give the diet a shot because it may make a huge difference for you!
