Yes, yes, yes! After many phone calls and emails, I have finally scheduled our next ICRE support group meeting. But, I'm changing it up this year abit. Why? Because I do IC six days a week already, it's really hard for me to give up a Sunday to run a large meeting. I found myself getting very burned out last year. And, honestly, I need more laughter in my life. So, we're going to try something new!
Our regular support meeting for Fall 2007 will be held closer to my office at the Rincon Valley Library on a Tuesday evening! They have a large, comfortable room... and lots of restrooms. I also think it will be safer for a night time meeting then down at Kaiser.
I think we need more social opportunities. and playing games is a great way to get to know each other and to LAUGH. I propose having a monthly or quarterly IC GAMES meeting which I'll try holding at my house. We can have a few different games going... from the Mexican Train Dominoes game to card or other group games and IC friendly potluck. If you've got a great game, I'm open for suggestions. Of course, I'll also pass along any new IC news AND take any IC questions you have too! Fair warning... I do have an "inside" cat in the house. So, if you've followed the directions to Kaiser, just turn north of Mendocino Ave, then turn right (east) on Fountain Grove Parkway. Take the road up the hill, down the hill and across the valley floor. You'll find the Library on the North side of the road... next to the park and Maria Carillo high school!
