Are you sure you're asking about sodium chloride? That's salt. Perhaps it's a similar-sounding chemical they'll be using?

No problems with me if its salt. But again, we are all different. Keep a journal and just see how you do when you use salt and you don't. I keep journals on everything. I never have thought about asking for a copy of my records. I learned that on here the other day. My next appointment, I am going to ask for my records.

Hey sandy I just wanted to say I hope that you do well with your instill. I also wanted to say that if I could get Cystistat I would do it! It seems like a very good treatment for IC.

If you're talking about the fluid used to dilute medications for instillations, I do know how to find out if you have at least a skin allergy to it. When I had to skin test my youngest for contact allergies, we would put a tiny spot of a substance on his skin with a small square of saran wrap over it, then put small pieces of tape around the edges of the saran so we could see the spot. If he was allergic, the spot would make a welt fairly quickly; if no welt it was left on a full day, then removed, and we knew the substance was okay.

Well,
I tried Cystistat and there was quite a bit of burning in my urethra.

Mainly the urethra area and up and down it. Not so much burning in the bladder.

However, it has caused me to flare and now I feel worse than I did when I first went in this morning.

I know I will not try anymore untill after I see Dr. Trabucco.

This did not hurt as bad as the Heparin but it was not that great either.

I just don't understand why it has to burn????? Cystistat is not supposed to!!!

Oh, what I would not give to have my old life back!! Just for a moment, you know?
