A U.S. study of 165 pateints with M.E. has found a long standing enterovirus in the gut of 80% of them. This is reported in the Journal of Clinical Pathology.

Frustratingly, I can only find a snippet reporting about it on the UK teletext & not the whole article online.

Haven't we kept on & on saying it's an enterovirus & not 'all in our heads'? I've been doing so for 20 years :bonk:

In the 1980s enterovirus DNA was found in the brains of people with ME who had commited suicide; this finding has been ignored as the UK has been treating ME/CFS as a psychological disorder.
