After being dismissed by several doctors I am finally seeing a Uro familiar with IC tomorrow, but I am scared. I don't know what diagnostic procedures here in france are. Could she suggest an office cysto on the first appt. Should I insist on an anaesthetic? Does the fact that I'm feeling better mean she won't take me seriously. Is it better to wait til I flare again to do a cysto? I don't know if they use the potassium test here - what exactly is the measurement guage? Is it pain? Can anyone tell me what the accepted usual diagnostic procedure should involve / include cos I really don't trust the system here. Will she give me meds even tho I'm not flaring today (for the first time in ages). Please tell me what I should expect and insist upon - I've been dismissed by doctors up to now and I've put all my hope into this appointment.
