I'm finally coming down from the worst flare I've ever had. I seriously hadn't felt so bad since before I was diagnosed. I went to the dr and of course I didn't have a bladder infection. It was terrible I felt like my bladder was ready to burst but when I went there was nothing. I'm so glad that I'm starting to feel better. It doesn't hurt when I go or anything. The only thing I still have is a weird tingling warm feeling in my bladder, almost like cramps and my thighs feel a little warm too. Does anyone else experience this? I've heard of some people that get pain all the way down their legs, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Also I drink so much water that my urine is usually clear but sometimes it will look a little cloudy. Is this normal. When I went to the dr they said I didn't have an infection and they sent the urine out and nothing. Maybe it's something I'm eating. I'm not sure. I'm going to see an IC Specialist next week and I'm looking forward to it, he was referred to me by another member on this board.

I do get the pain up and down my leg(from the knee up), I guess it's like a shooting pain. Also, when I went to the doctor, I was asked to take a urinalysis, but it was so clear it looked like water, and nothing showed up on the urinalysis. So, they told me to drop off a sample(pee in a cup right after you wake up) in the morning, because the urine is more concentrated. Sure enough, things did show up on that urinalysis, but, of course, nothing showed up 2 days later on the culture. So, I would really urinate in a cup as soon as you wake up then drop it off.
Best of luck!

I've used the azo test strips first thing in the morning and it always tests negative. I'm feeling a lot better.

Glad you're getting over your flare-- I getting over something- wouldn't exactly call a flare- just plain stupidity--- I went out on Friday with my "Red Hat Society Ladies" to Baby A's (Mexican Resturant) and I'm able to eat their Cheese Ench.) I had some Ice Tea (just enough to go thru dinner. and some chips and sausa) Their sausa(?) is hot but it didn't bother me till about 5 hours later!!! needless to say I was in pain from then on (Late Friday on till late Sunday evening. I am still in somewhat pain, but I am making it to work, as I have a meeting this afternoon and a conference that I have got to go to.

That's exactly what scares me about going back to eating like I used to before finding out I could have IC. Now I'm afraid to put things back into my diet in case I start feeling bad again. I am feeling pretty good now and I know the best thing for me was drinking more water and staying away from diet coke. I have no idea if food will effect me or not, but I'm still scared to try it.
