Hi all --

Just dx'ed with IC a few weeks ago. I've been experiencing a new symptom lately, a terribly embarassing one. I've started to have a bit of dribbling, and I told my uro, and he told me it's due to bladder spasms. Thing is it drips out when I don't feel my bladder at all -- before voids, after voids, just randomly.

When your bladder is spasming, aren't you able to feel it? Or feel an intense need to void? What exactly does a spasm feel like?

Anything I can do to stop the dribbling from becoming full-out incontinence? I'm only 20 and I sure as heck don't need this problem this early.

I'd appreciate your input on this. As always, thanks.

If I have a spasm I can actually feel my bladder moving usually, it's a very weird feeling and very uncomfortable for me. I usually get them after I hold it too long and then my bladder is angry with me. Hope you can figure out how to make the dribbling stop, I don't have any ideas for that.

For me, bladder spasms feel something like a severe menstrual cramp.

I can feel my bladder spasms, to me they feel like I have to void even though I just went.. Its hard to explain..But it is a weird kind of pain..

Lets see if I can explain it better.. Ok you know how when your bladder is really full and you have to pee really bad and you are holding it and its hurting, but you are holding it and not going? Well thats kind of the way it feels all the time even if you have just went and its like a throbbing ache.. Now This is just me!! Some may feel differant..

If you are leaking, the dr should have put you on Enablex, or Ditropan or Detrol.. That would help also PT is also good to tighten up those muscles to help prevent leakage..Hope I explained this helps..
