Just recently told I have IC, very confused and upset with all the information. I have alot of frequency and some leaking. I dont know if this is common. I would appreciate any comments. Thinking of trying cystoprotek. Does this work? I have been told it upsets your stomach. I also have IBS so I am worried about taking this. Can any one help me?

Has you URO suggested, Enablex, Ditopan, Detrol? all these help with the leakage and frequency.

I was in the same boat two weeks ago. Frequency and some leakage. My doctor did a Hydrodistension under anesthesia. I felt like crap for three days after. Our bodies just aren't meant for that kind of thing. Point is I feel pretty good now. I changed my diet completely. I eat very little which I think is OK at 45 years old. I am not real active anyway. I am still scared all the time. I had been flaring since March. Went to the ER once and sat in the hallway for four hours just to be told there was no bacteria in my urine and go home. I managed to get some Vicodin before I left and it completely eliminated the pain. I felt great but had halucinations. The flare lasted a week. Then I started with finding a good doctor. That was frustrating but worked out.
Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for your advice I really appreciate it. I have had bladder problems for 15 yrs, and was told it was over active bladder. I am glad I finally have a diagnosis, but still frustrated with all this. My doctor has me on hydroxizine. My diet is really restricted, which I am sure you all know about.
