MSM GEL & Jacob Lab

Hi All,

I too suffer from a lot of uretha pain and discomfort and have been reading the posts on this subject. I recently read the one from roxie2007 who suggested trying the MSM Gel & ordering it thru Jacob Laboratories.

I ordered it online today. The problem....I did not receive a confirmation like they said I would nor can I reach them via phone.....maybe b/c of the Holiday? I'm nervous with the whole credit card thing....my husband would "kill" me.....Does anyone know if this is a reputable co?

As always thank you for any advice and support you can give me. I have been showing some signs of improvement thru trial & error. I have done a lot of research myself and cannot thank this site enough for the information I have gotten here. There are still days when I get depressed and then I log on to this site........:)

IC Diet

Elavil 20 mgs at bedtime
Lortab 7.5 - 500 as need for pain
Prosed as needed for uretha pain
Prelief 2 tabs 3 xs daily
Glucosamine w/MSM 2 tabs 3 xs daily

Recently prescribed by primary care physician

Cyclobenzaprine 5 mg 1 - 2 daily
Flexeril 5 mg as needed

Just started doing home instills for flareups....still a little nervous

Elmiron, lidocaine, sodium bicarb, misoprostol

HI! Yes they are a very reputable company. I would think they would be closed for the holiday. If you don't get a confirmation tomorrow then simply email them and ask them for one. I have emailed them several times and asked questions and they always write me right back.

Has anyone tried the cystoprotek does it work? Just recently told that I have IC
and I am so confused about what to take. any input would be appreciated

Jacob Lab in Portland is okay. I'm sure they were closed for the Labor Day weekend.

Jacob Labs is run by the son of Dr. Stanley Jacob, MD who is the father of MSM and some say DMSO. At least that is what he told me back in 2001/2002 when he retired from his medical practice to write about DMSO and MSM. I never ordered from the website, but did have the prescription medical products shipped to me from his office, and had no problems. They were well packaged and arrived in a timely fashion.

Dr. Stanley Jacob was one of the pioneers in testing DMSO for IC.

I have ordered through them before without any issues. The gel did not help me out so I was disappointed. I did get the gel within 2 weeks of my order so I don't think you need to worry. Good Luck :)

:) Thank you for all of your replies....I did receive a confirmation e-mail from Jacob Laboratories today.......wish me luck with trying the MSM gel.....I will keep you posted.
