It is not always good to do online conults. It is usually best to see a Doctor face to face

I would never consider an on-line consult. There may be some alternatives to hysterectomy, but there needs to be a hands on examination and tests done before making a decision.

I agree with Donna and Leslie about this.

I agree with all of the above in regards to an online consultation. I had Hydrothermal Ablation (the alternate to a Hysterectomy) in 8/05 thinking it would solve my hormonal issues & was terribly shocked when within 3 days of having it done I had all but maybe 3 symptoms of menopause, no I'm not kidding either!
My opinion, surgery of any type should be last resort. I have really learned my lesson on that matter.
My recommendation is to educate yourself as much as possible on everything you've gotten a diagnosis for & work with your doctors (that is what I did). Finding ones who are open to patients researching are your safest bet & can be hard to find. One book you may want to read that I recommend to everyone is Screaming to be Heard by Elizabeth Vliet. It's a thick book but well worth reading!
I'm no expert by any means but sure have learned a lot in the last couple of years about doing all the research that you can before making your final decision. :cat:

Whoops, I think it was a man who posted the initial post correct? If so the book that I recommended is more for women than men.
