update from the doctors

I went to the doctors yesterday about the spot on my lung. (I went in with one problem and came out with 3!) the spot on my lung, asthma, and sleep apnea. (the doctor asked my husband if I snore or anything and he said no, but he was concerned because of the shape of my jaw and the inside of my tongue and how it sits). So I am going for a sleep study next Wednesday night, now have an inhaler I use every day - he said this is probably why I get so many resp. infections. and as to the spot on my lungs it is so small (4 mm) that he can't really biopsy it - so we are going to wait and see for 6 months and then do another CT (I know it wasn't there last year when i had a CT scan) - he said if it is cancer than it will grow but not that much and we can still take care of it-- if its not than it won't do anything at all. All in all, we had a good visit. I go back to him in 10 days after this sleep study.
Someone asked me if I told my parents yet about this spot and i said no, why should I scare them? I mean, do they need anymore to worry about me? Here they are in their late 70's and they are insomewhat ok health- and I'm 47 and have everything wrong with me - I mean, they don't need anything else to worry about!!

Thanks for the update Mary, Hope everything is ok with your lungs, but the good thing is they caught it whatever it is very early..Hope you start feeling better soon..:angel:

My dad had a very small spot on his lung, also too small to biopsy and they waited 6 months and when he had the follow up cat scan it was gone. The doc said if was probably an infection or a blurb in the cat scan. Hope yours goes that way!!
