Yesterday my daughter and I went to a picnic for this really neat program she's going to be in in high school. As we were getting our chairs out of the back of the Jeep, she slammed the hatch closed before my upper arm was outta the way and it SLAMMED down on my deltoid (upper shoulder) muscle. It's HUGE, black, blue, purple, green, and black. My arm is so sore all the way down to my wrist now. She feels so bad for hurting me, and I keep assuring her it was NOT her fault, it was mine for not getting out of the way fast enough! LOL I can't stand the thought of her feeling guilty for hurting me.

Then, our cat who NEVER goes outside decided at midnight he was going to escape. He's got no collar, no flea medicine, nothing because he never leaves the house. He is fixed thankfully. Well, the little stinker ran under the deck that is surrounded by lattice and for *4* hours I climbed up and down that deck NOT using the stairs because I was trying to be sneaky trying to get that darned cat back in the house. Sent my aussie in under the deck saying, "get the cat" and all she did was go in and lay NEXT TO THE CAT AND LICK HIM!

I am bruised from head to toe, and if someone were to examine me right now they'd think I was abused or something.

If I wasn't already in pain enough before this.

Thank GOD I have my pain appt tomorrow and I'll be limping in there for sure now.

The stupid precious cat is STILL under the deck and won't even come out for Tom. At this point I'm DONE squatting, climbing, etc.....I was up all night trying to get this cat back in the house, HE can spend all day in the 100 degree heat.

I need Calgon to take me away for about a month!

:grouphug: Your kitty will come out when he gets hungry and thirsty enough!

Get some rest now so your bruises can heal.

:cat: I forgot to put on the last post that I agree with Donna. Your cat will come out when he gets hungry or thirsty. Cats have a mind of their own. They don't try to please us they are just out for themselves :cat:
But you gotta love them :smile tee

Ouch! What about putting his cat food in a bowl at the exit of under the porch, and when he smells it he'll come out?

We finally got the cat to come in by squirting the slats in the deck so that wherever he went under there, he got wet.....his only DRY option was to come out, and Tom caught him by the scruff of his neck (didn't hurt him) and brought him in. He was ferral when we found him as a tiny kitten and he still is to some extent. He's very afraid and I think he was just afraid to come out now that he'd gotten himself under there. He came in and drank for 15 minutes straight, then ate for at least 10 minutes and has been sleeping on his perch ever since...Now I'm reminded why his name is NUISANCE!!!!!!!!!!!

He's a beauty though and really sweet once he learns to trust. I was really worried he would suffer heat stroke as it was about 100 here again today and he just would NOT come out to get water or food. He knew we were gonna snatch him up if he did.

So, next time some cat you know crawls under your deck, FLOOD EM OUT! LOL

I'm beat, exhausted, worn out, dragging, sore, hurting, and I am all the prettyful colors of the rainbow with my bruises! LOL

At least I can laugh now that my pain appt is about 12 hours away!

Ouch! Sounds like it's just one thing after another for you Sandy. I'm glad you got your cat back inside. I have a Jack Russell and I've found the more I try to get her back in the house the more she runs. I started slamming the door on her because then she realized no one was chasing her anymore and she usually came right to the door to get back in! lol I hope you get some relief from you pain management appointment today. :grouphug:

At least the cat's out LOL. If they ask at your pain appointment why you're in so much pain, at least you will have tons of proof LOL!
