I need some advice. Last THursday, my throat felt sore like my sinuses were draining. By the time I got up Friday I was miserable. I spent days with a stuffy, runny nose. Lots of sneezing and coughing and no energy. Well, I'm feeling a bit better, but my nose is still a bit congested and sometimes slightly runny and I'm still coughing. It sounds more like a dry cough. I'm also just still completely zapped of energy and am sometimes still running a low grade fever (around 100). My hubby started sneezing and feeling bad yesterday, so now he's sick, too.
What I'm wondering is whether I need to go to the doctor or if it's normal for a cold to hang around this long? It's driving me nuts. Right now we just have temporary health insurance because my hubby lost his job, so going to the doctor costs more than usual. THat said, if I need to go, I will go. I also don't want to end up with pneumonia or something. I just hate to go and have my doc say it will just have to run its course. Any advice?
