ICN Photo Slide Show (anyone interested)

As I was watching it I was thinking about the slide shows that Janie Miranda and I have put together for fun.

I think some of us photo takers on the ICN here could make a nice presentation with many of the photos we have taken. I'd be happy to put one together if you all send me a photo and a caption to go underneath. Songs that you all like would be awesome too.

It can show the world that we still can do many things through IC. It can give those who are down about being diagnosed with IC something to see that can make the outlook on having IC not so bad.

What do you all think? (Janie, I may need your help on this)

1.Send a Photo or a Few to Kara klreese@twcny.rr.com

2.With the email, send me some words that you'd like me to put under the photo (like what the photo is of or what it makes you feel)

3.And give me the name of a song that inspires you on your bad days

(Photos can be of anything that you've taken...nature, family, friends, anything....)

Hubby and I do these for our family holidays like last year we took lots of pictures at Christmas and made it into a CD and put caption and music with it. Now this Christmas we will all set down and watch it..We kind of made it our new tradition.. Its a really fun thing to do.. Thanks again for doing this..:angel:

My hubby did a slide show for my son's and future daughter-in-law (now wife's) rehearsal dinner. It was so sweet! I watched it the other day. My younger son would always help one of the men at our church do them after our church summer camps. The kids loved them. They would mix video in with pictures.

Kara, that is such a sweet thing to do for people. I am looking forward to seeing your creativity!

What a cool idea, Kara!! The only suggestion I have would be to maybe break it into a few slideshows instead of one huge one. Make one slideshow per song. See, many people might have slow internet service and if you make a slideshow that is too huge they might never be able to view it!

That is a great idea. I will use it. I also noticed that the longer you make one of those slide shows, the photos tend to not be as clear. Not sure why. In this case less is better.

Keep the emails rolling and we'll have a show soon. I've gotten 1 email so far from another Moderator.

Ok, I am about to put together the First ICN slide show. Any more photos you all want me to throw in there just send me an email. It's not hard to add them. Just make sure you add a caption of what you would like me to say about each photo. I will use the music of those that sent me direct emails about what music they wanted.

There is another way I could do this but I would need permission of each person before I did it. I can take photos that have been submitted here already on the the photo threads and use those.........If anyone is opposed to this please let me know and I won't do it this way. I will just have you all who are interested email me individually. Just a thought

I'm on dialup at home with an old computer, so the shorter shows will be better for me at home. But at work, I've got much more up to date technology :) so I'm looking forward to viewing them there, too, during my lunch break.

Oh My Gosh Kara........Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. That was so beautiful that it made me cry and for the first time since I have been diagnosed with IC I was proud to have it. I was truly touched by the slideshow. I really feel that God has allowed me to go through this disease to meet people like you Kara, people that care, people who truly love, people who have compassion, people that are true and not fake, and people like you that have big old kind hearts and souls :angel: You are a true little angel Kara and if you were here I would give you a big old hug :grouphug:
Maybe one day if God allows us to we will be able to meet one another in person. That would be so awesome.....but until then once again, Thank You from the bottom of my heart :)

Laura, wow, is all I can say, and I haven't even seen it yet. I wasn't able to download it on my very old computer, with dialup with windows 98, I was sooo disapointed last night, so I am getting moving fast this morning so I can hopefully see it on my computer at work before I have to start working! So gotta go, and this time it's not pee. LOL

I just redid the slide show. I have to work with making the music fit. Mel, I could not find that song to use. I will work on this more tomorrow.
Sandra, I removed our photos because I am going to put them in a separate slide show for our trip.

Ronda, your photos and songs are up there.

I rearranged the show and put each family together so the songs would work better.

I'm too tired to fix it now and feel that it will be fresh tomorrow. I hope to have it up by tomorrow late afternoon.

We, take pictures every Christmas of all the family and then we make it into a CD and slide show with Christmas music.. Then the next year we hand out copies to everyone so they can take it home and look at the Christmas before..Its really neet because you can see how much people have changed and kids have grown..:smile tee

I had fun doing it. The program I used was a bit limiting so I will be on the lookout for a better program. Any ideas just let me know.

Yea! I AM able to download on my 10 yr old computer, w/ dialup, w/ windows 98! It took about to 10 mins, just got to be patient...at work where I have MUCh more up to date technology it only took about 2 minutes to download. :) :)

Well, I figured out why my home computer speakers aren't working, looks like my favorite mini pit bull, June Bug, got to the wires and chewed one of them back in her bug in a rug chewing days.

Kara, you are so very talented! I'll say it again, thank you! It is so nice to see and get a feel for the lives of our IC family.

I don't know what I did wrong maybe I spelled the breed of dog wrong...dal...., it got censored LOL... maybe it's too similar another word that starts with a "d" and ends w/ an "n" and sounds kinda the same.

T83...No, there are no pictures of me as yet. I am rather camera shy. I may include one in my next batch to Kara.

It is not my cabin. It belongs to some long time friend's daughter and son in law. The owners live in Florida and are not there very often. They have given Hubby and me permission to go as often as we want when they are not using it. Right now, they are at the cabin with 3 youngest of their five children. Last week, Hubby and I went up there with the Grandmother (my friend) to help care for the three children while the owners were traveling elsewhere. It was hectic and a whole lot of fun. Hubby helped the two boys build a tree house while my friend and I shopped at all the antique shops around the area. Now that was fun.

That song Lady was actually from my wedding. It was the first song that my husband and I danced to as husband and wife.

Briza thanks for the compliment about our picture. We took that on a cruise a few weeks ago. It is amazing what a good photographer can do :smile tee

Hello Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

I am working on the 2nd and 3rd and 4th Slide shows. I was interrupted because my Husband's Dad had 4 heart attacks in one day a few weeks ago and almost didn't make it. I haven't gotten back to working on the shows but I promise as soon as I get back from my trip to Canada this week, I will work on it.

For all of you, it's not to late to send photos. Keep them coming. Make sure you have captions for me to put under each photo. If you have a favorite song, feel free to share that too. I will use it in the shows.

I will get back to this within the next few weeks.

Mel, there are many inexpensive slide show programs you can buy and download to your computer to do this..Then all you do is save them to a disk..

I'm testing out a new program to see if I like it better. I am starting where I left off with Sharon's Slide Show to test.

Try this link and let me know if it works to view.......The first one you will see has the captions but the photos are not as clear. The 2nd one you can view under the first one....that could not have captions but the slide show photos come up nice and clear.

I tried two different types. One didn't let me type captions under it and one did. I am still playing around. In a few minutes I will post the 2nd one that I tried with the captions.
