Hi,
I'm still struggling with pain symptoms with my IC. Although I feel that I've improved somewhat at present I am only on 20mgs. of Elavil at night and bladder instillations about every 10 days. Trying hard to stick to diet. My question is that stress does seem to give me "flare ups." My uro won't prescribe anything to relax me...telling me to go to primary physician. I've been reading here that some of you take a low dose of valium for a short period of time to help with relaxation. Since I am a secretary in a school and sit most of the day and school starts back soon I know my stress level will be high. I do much better when I am relaxed. Do you think I should ask for a trial period on valium?
