Any Advice

My MIL just one tickets to go see Toby Keith in Hershey on Thursday night. She invited me to go as a birthday present (b-day is on Friday) and she knows I like country music. The thing is that I would have to work all day Thursday, go home and eat dinner and then go to this concert. We would probably get back really late and then I'd have to get up and go to work again on Friday morning. I do like Toby Keith and I'm sure it would be fun, she won the tickets from work so she thinks they are really good seats and probably in AC. Spending lots of time with my MIL can get annoying but she means well. I'm just really worried that working all day and then going to this concert until late will put me into a big flare and then I'll end up feeling like crap on my actual birthday. Do I go to the concert and just make sure I take my pain meds while there and afterwards and hope I don't flare or just say no thanks so that I don't feel like crap on my birthday? Any suggestions. I'm afraid that I'll overdo it and then feel like crap. I wish I didn't have to think about stuff like this.

I love country music, but not a big fan of Toby, but I would still take the pain meds and maybe a Valium! Give her a Valium as well!

I dont want to say go and then you blame me for hurting on your B-day..lol , but it prob would be really fun. If you decide to go just take it easy..And don't over due it..AND HAVE FUN!!! I'ts prob what you need...

I know if you keep worrying, if you should or shouldn't go, You are going to cause yourself a flare..And then the concert and your B-day will be ruined.. So quit worrying so much!!!((((hugs)))))

LOL, very true. I think I'm going to wait and see where the seats are tomorrow to make sure that they are box seats and in the AC like she thinks they are and then I guess I'll decide. I guess I'm just worried that I'll say that I'll go but then come Thursday I won't feel well or something and won't want to go. I guess if I have her drive I can take my vicoden and have fun.

I don't think so I just think it's the tickets. She said if it's box seats then we should get free food and stuff, that would be fun. She said she might be able to get 4 tickets, which means hubby could come too but then we'd have to leave Griffin with the older kids but I think they'd be okay for a few hours.

If it were me, I would go. Even if you feel rotton on Friday, you'll have the weekend to recover. And if she drives, you can sit back and relax on a pillow in the car.

Well it sounds like everybody thinks I should go, lol. Well now I have to have my MIL check and see if we can borrow her brother's car because mine is sounding really funny. It's really loud and I'm freaking out because they told me the last time I had it worked on that I had a cracked exhaust manifold. I just called them to find out how much it is to replace that, yea it's like $800!!! Where am I coming up with that kind of money!?! He said I should bring it in to have it looked at though because it could be something else that's less expensive. Ugh!! I have to worry about possibly driving to Baltimore soon to see this dr, how am I going to do that if my car is messed up!?! I was thinking about asking my parents for the money to fix my car but I know if it's $800 my father is going to have a freakin' cow! I guess there is nothing I can do but calm down and wait until I can get it in there to get looked at which they say would have to be next week. Blah :confused:
