I'm not doing well

I will be on as much as I can but I am not feeling well. The recovery from my Vestibulectomy is going to be a bit hard. I'm on really strong pain meds for the next few weeks.

Thank you all so much for the well wishes. My Mom is doing a lot better than I am actually!! I'm glad it went that way because I would take her pain any day. She is so happy with her surgery and her new breasts. She looks fantastic. Sandra you will see her in September. We did not check the machine until today so I just got the message from her.

I am taking Vicoden. 10/325 which is a bit different than what I used to take. More Codine in these I think....I've been using ice packs more than the pain meds. I've been cycling through both and trying to just lay down and not sit at all.

None of this would have been possible without the continued love and support all of you have taken the time to give to me throughout this whole journey. I am so glad to know each and every one of you. We are in each other's lives for a reason.

I'm sorry I didn't answer this sooner. I hate to hear that you're having a hard recovery. I hope that when you are healed that things will be much better for you. You've really been through your share of trials and tribulations and I think you've just about had enough! Time to stop now! :) I'm glad to hear your mom is doing so well. She really sounds like a very strong lady. What a wonderful inspiration you have in her.

Please keep us updated. I hope as the days go by you will continue to get stronger and the pain will subside.

Hugs and prayers your way, Kara. I can imagine that it's quite painful. I'm glad you're using cold backs...they often give more relief than any pain med can, no matter how strong. Take care of yourself. You'll heal and soon this will be behind you and many many prayers that this relieves you of your pain once healed.Can you use a sitz bath? I used one after my vulva biopsy and it helped a lot with the pain, as well as helped keep the area clean.

I used the sitz bath for the first few days. I was in a hurry when I cam back home and I forgot the darn thing at my parents house. I am so darn mad because I went to the drug store to see if I could get another one............NOPE they are 20 dollard and up...............I may have Allen clean the tub this weekend and try to sit in a warm bath 3 times a day. But, yes in answer to your question, I did and want to continue to use the Sitz Bath. There is a clump of stitches a little ways up the vaginal canal and they are really annoying and painful. They are bleeding too. I see the Doc for post-op next week (the 24th) I hope the stitches have dissolved by then.

OUCH!!! I know after I had my first son I had alot of stiches because he didnt come out right and I had to be cut. I had to use the sitz bath that was the only relief I got from the pain... I know though your pain is worse, because you had surgery done down there. I feel for you hun...((((((((((hugs))))) Hope it heals quickly...:angel:
