UGHHH there is a little critter probably a mole or a chipmunk living in my flower garden, it is digging hole all over the faster I cover up its hole, I wake up and BANG another entrance and exit hole. It has drug all the corn from the squirel pile and planted it's own garden that I have to keep harvesting early for it. I feel like this little monster is controling my life LOL. I wake up and think "How can I tackel todays hole" and What can I do to annoy it today. Any suggestion to add to my method od maddness ladies???? Before this things drives me totally:loco:

Sounds like a real pain Leslie. I've never had a garden or done ANY gardening so I don't really have any ideass. My dad killed a squirell with a bebe gun one time because it was digging up the grass but the neighbors called the cops on him so I wouldn't reccomend that, LOL

I think you're right. It's a mole alright. I have them all over my backyard. I live in Kansas and if the neighbors have them and don't care it is up to you to fight the fight. I haven't found a thing except a shovel over the head to get rid of them. It only happened once because as you know, they are fast critters. Have fun!!!!! Brenda

When I had Moles in Nebraska who loved digging up my yard I used to take a hose and stick down the hole and fill it full of water......they hated it! lol Eventually they moved to another yard.
Last night we saw the cutest little possum eating bird/squirrel food with the rest of the critters in our yard. We think he must have been sick tho because it was daylight and he was out running around......and usually they don't come out till night. Mike was worried that he might be rabid.......so now I'm worried about going out at night!

ROxie, I have filled the holes before I started refilling them and nothing. This little thing is trying to drive me to the brink of insanity. Off to find my shield and fight the fight.

Ever since I read your post, my dog Mollie has been having a fit in 2 of my flower beds. I haven't seen any signs of moles. She mainly is by the bed that is next to my deck. I have sprayed water and nothing has come out. There isn't a whole lot of room in there. I just hope it's not a snake. She also ruts around in the bed next to my walkway in my backyard. As soon as I try to investigate, she is off running, so it's not like she is on a trail. She is half Border Collie/half Chesapeake Bay Retreiver.
Leslie, have you found the culprit?

Since you mentioned drowning!!! My hubby was cleaning out the pool skimmers this afternoon and found a mole, so hopefully we did "drown" the critter. I thought they normally routed up the yard. I haven't seen any holes (well except for where Mollie has been). She is waiting by the door now, I guess she hasn't heard the news. I hope that is what it was, cause I really don't want to see any snakes.
By the way...I never clean out the skimmers. I hate finding bloated frogs and stuff. My hubby will check it sometimes and let me know if the coast is clear. I don't mind cleaning just the normal pool stuff!
Hope you can take care of your critter. I hate to have my flower beds messed up! Way too much work going on for this hot weather!!!!

They are in the backyard too. It is 5 AM and one just cornered the dog LMAO she had no idea what to do at the little hissing thing. OK that part is funny, the new invader is not.

We had a gopher dig a hole from my neighbors yard to our garden. My husband was gettind ******, so he took all the hot sauce :evilsmile we had in the house and poured it down the hole...it worked. He didn't come back.
His brother gave him the thing that emits high pitched sounds to put down into the hole and that is supposed to get rid of them too. We didn't try that one.
Good luck...
