Tom felt sorry for me because I was having such a hard time vacuuming this house. There is so much fur flying here I could probably make a nice winter coat out of it. We had a really good vacuum, a wind tunnel, but it would clog every time I used it and I wound up having to take it apart, clear the clog, and THEN vacuum, and by that time I was already exhausted.

Sooooooo...he forked over the 550.00 and got me a Dyson Animal. This thing will just about suck the skin off your hand if you put it over the hose....no lie. It's absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I vacummed the entire downstairs, the stairs, got all my cob webs out of the corners all in one day!!! I just can't say enough about this vacuum. It's definately a Godsend to me!

I know what color my carpet is again, and the dust level is SO much less.

Thank God for modern technology!

That's so awesome Sandy. We got one of those when our last vaccum went to crap and we love it too. It really doesn't get clogged up. Enjoy it but don't vaccum everything in one day or I'm sure you'll end up paying for it tomorrow.

I'm already paying for it. My back is KILLING me. It's been bothering me a lot lately anyway, but all that vacuuming really did me in. Today I just caressed the beautiful thing and told it we'd be together again soon! LOL :)

LMAO!! I haven't even used mine in forever, I've been feeling so crappy lately ever since I started the DMSO that I have my teenagers do it for me. I can always see the spots they missed but if I do it I know I'll kill myself. Speaking of back, there goes my into mega spasms, ouch!! Heating pad here I come.

Isn't it amazing the things we get excited over especially if it makes life easier. We got a new washer and dryer recently and I felt like it was Christmas!

So glad you have a vacuum that helps you out Sandy!!

I had to do a lot of fast talking, looking pitiful, and looked at a LOT of sale fliers to get this baby!!!! I think he finally gave in because he was being such a man-turd for a few days and he felt guilty....I'll take that kinda guilt any day!

I love my Dyson! I even have pictures of me with my new Dyson the day we brought it home! I spent hours vacuuming when we first got it. I couldn't decide if I was more excited or disgusted by all the extra dust that I sucked out of my carpets. I think I went over the whole house 4 times before it stopped sucking dust. We have 3 dogs too so it's really helpful. Now we just got new carpet and it's thicker and I find it's really hard to vacuum without flaring from it. :(

I got a new vacuum cleaner a few months ago and I love it. Now what I want is a new camera! I'm never satisfied!

Sandy...I was about to post that you could come on over to my house to use your new toy, but then I read that it hurt your back. So...guess your road trip will have to wait for awhile. I will make sure the dust stays where it is until you can come suck it up. :lmao:

Nothing like the good ol'fashioned guilt trip to get what you need:lmao: Tell hubby it helps your sinuses so much, and I'll bet he'll say its owrth every penny. I'm glad the dust is less. Its nice to have a clean home when your not feeling well.

I am just whining for a house cleaner. We used to have a lady that came every 2 weeks, mainly to vaccuum and clean the dreaded bathrooms. It would be such an effort to get my house clean enough for someone to come at this point!!! LOL! I would be so embarrassed for anyone to see my house.

I am sure that I will get some help from my hubby and younger son this weekend since the ladies from my Sunday school class are coming over for a lady's night out on the 16th. Let the whining begin!!!!!

Oh, I would LOVE to have a house cleaning lady. Would just LOVE it. I DESPISE cleaning the bathrooms too!!! It's just so hard on my body to clean this 4 bedroom, 3 bath house. I've done all but get on my hands and knees for hardwood floors or even laminate that LOOKS like hardwood. I guess he figured the vacuum was cheaper! We do have parquet floors in the foyer, and really nice stone tile in the kitchen but the rest of the house is carpet.

Any ideas on how to talk him into new floors just for the downstairs and the staircase?!?! :lmao:
