Long story but the cats have been banned from the main house. They have to stay out in their room now and there is nothing I can do about it. It is a big room but not big enough for them to have a good life. The mother cat wants out. She sits in front of the window and door crying to go out. She is in heat too but has not made one male cat call. She is so sad and when I take her for a walk she doesn't have that step in her walk. I can tell she is not happy. Now I will have to have spayed. Didn't want to do that to her and wouldn't have had to IF they could still come in. Will see if the vet might do it cheaper then $150. The kittens don't really understand why they can't come in anymore but it isn't affecting them like it is the mother cat. I'm afraid she will turn ugly if she doesn't get back outside. I try and walk her as much as possible but the heat ahs been awful so I haev only been able to get her out a few times a day. I can't even leave the door opened for some air because seh will climb the screen now which she never ever did before. She was a well trained cat and they untrained her and blame her and me for it. Just is not fair!!!!! I'm pretty sure once she gets outside she will take off. :( Not unless she sticks around for me but I wouldn't blame her for leaving. Things have gotten really stressful for me because there is more then that going on. I took a wellbutrin thinking it would help me settle down but it didn't. I really do not want to spay her but I have no other choice. Why is my life turning out to be so hard??? Internet will be going off in a couple of days too. :(

I don't understand why you would not want to have her spayed? Maybe there are some posts about your cat that I haven't read. We have such an abundance of unwanted cats in this Country that every day thousands have to be put down (killed). I am sorry for your upsetting problems and I hope you can work it out. Ziggy

If your cat is in heat, that obviously is the problem. Cats do go entirely "nuts" when they are in heat. She does need to be spayed. It's just fortunate that the kittens aren't old enough to breed her --- very soon you'll have to think about having four more cats neutered. Many areas have spay/neuter clinics for cats where they perform the procedure very inexpensively; you will want to check on that too.

I don't know what internet service you have, but in our area there are some which are very inexpensive so you might want to look into that too.

Good luck!

If you callyour local area's humane society they can give you a voucher for x amout of $$ off. I took my male cat JoJo to get neutered in June. He had to get vaccines as well. The neutering and all shots was only 74.00 with the voucher from the humane scoiety. I think it was 35-45.00 off. All vets around here accept them too. Don't call to get the voucher until you have the $ to pay your portion b/c the voucher expires in 60 days.

I think there are even some clinics that go around in a big old truck and park in a central location and you can take your cat there to be spayed. Most of them are either free or very lost cost depending on your income. I have 3 girl cats and I have had all of the spayed. I never have to worry about them coming into heat or having male cats trying to get to them. I think it is the best thing I could have done for them. When I had the spayed they even sent them home with some pain medications that I could give them in an eye dropper.

If you can't find one on the internet, your local library is a great place to find out information like that or maybe call a few local vet clinics.

Good Luck :cat:

They are all females. If one was a male then I would ahve them fixed for sure so there wouldn't be any inter-breeding. They won't be going outside by themselves. I walk the mother and the little ones will be done the same. I just don't feel it is fair to do when it doesn't need to be done. I do know there are many unwanted animals that are put to sleep and it is awful. If the mother had been with me from the beginning she never would have had the little ones.

The interenet I have is $9.95 a month and I can't even afford that.

Thanks for the replies. :)

Just remember that all it takes is for one of your cats to accidentally get out through an open window or when you open your door --- and when female cats are in heat, they can be pretty inventive. Better to be safe than sorry later on.

Hey Waterflow,
To look at this in a possitive manner, If you have the older cat fixed she will be less likely to run away if she does get loose, only reason most cats run away or run the roads when the get out is to breed. When they are fixed they could care less and they stay right around thier home..
To bad about the internet, we all are going to miss you around here. I hope soon you will be able to afford to get back online..(((hugs))) and good luck with everything..

Ronda, :kissing: Today is the last day for the internet. Maybe it is suppose to be that way. Of course it is also the slowest day it ever went. Took me 10 minutes just to get here.

I wish the best for all of you and thank you so much for being there when I needed the help. Complaints and all from me.
