Some of you know about the things that happened over the last school year, including a huge flare that caused me to miss work most of March, April, and some of May. I have not had a full paycheck since Nov or Dec, and did not get one at all April and May. Thank god I had some savings in a CD that matured about midway thru the flare, otherwise I would have starved.
But my July paycheck was the full amount:woohoo: and since I haven't had any extra money for anything in the way of entertainment or pampering or anything except bills and a little food, I went today to have a pedicure and manicure at the best place in town, got my hair cut for the first time in 6 months and then, well this I know I will pay for tomorrow, got myself a semi- fine bottle of red wine and some new wine goblets and a frozen micro dinner, so I wouldn't have to be bothered by cooking. Yes yes yes, I know the red wine and frozen dinner will make me hurt tomorrow, but dammit, I've denied myself a LOT to survive the past year and I'm worth it. If it takes a couple pain meds tomorrow to get me feeling better, then that's what they're for.:smile tee
The name of the wine is Il Bastardo:evilsmile ...I drink it when I'm feeling good and when I thinking go to h*ll you bast*rd for putting me thru all that stress that he caused me to miss so many days of work and the stress that caused that flare and almost made me lose my job!
Tomorrow: massage:smile tee

for all the sweet replies.
Ronda, he's now living in your state...if you meet any men who are blonde with gorgeous blue green eyes....run run run...it may be hard cuz he's quite the charmer.:biglaugh:
Leslie...thanks for the hot stone reminder...I'll have that done if I'm able to lay on my tummy...if I'm hurting I usually have my massage just laying on my back! My massage therapist, very spiritual, and the small world we live in, she was treated by my pscyhologist for a year before i started seeing him. I swear she has special powers...she even has kinda pointy ears so I always wonder if she's an elf or something similar :lmao: have had some out of body (astral) experiences when she massages me. I know it's not a coincidence, because I often have them when I'm napping at home.
Trishann, you are precious and so very sweet. You always are so compassionate and know exactly what to say. :)
Octoberfarm, thank you...I rarely ever spend money on personal pleasures, makes me feel so guilty. But I do not feel guilty at all today. Thank you !
Sandy, tho he's not here I will put my foot on his head in my mind and say, look at me now, look what you lost, you dumb***
Thank you Barb, I know you've struggled alot too this past year. Here's a toast to all of you for better days ahead!

Thank you all, for your encouragment and support! God bless you all.

Sounds like you're having a blast! Sometimes you just have to let it all go and forget you have IC, and hope for the best. If I were in NY I'd be eating:
Sushi
Indian Food
Vietnamese (my fav)
Thai
Ethiopian
Middle eastern
and probably using more pain meds than usual. Luckily we don't have any of these types of restaurants, except Japanese, where I live. But when I go to the city I do indulge :)
Hope the rest of your trip is fun-filled and flare free!

Sounds like we have the same tastes! I love all those ethnic foods..mmmmmhhhmmm. Yummy. I miss Indian and Pakistani so much. Haven't had Ethiopian though my hubby raves about it and keeps telling me we are gonna go into Chicago to his favorite restaurant for Ethiopian food.
So glad you are enjoying your last few days of "freedom!"

Mimii, sounds like it, huh? i;ve learned how to make peanut sauce and other vietnamese dipping sauces and the non fried spring rolls and have taught my best friends how to make the rolls, so we often make party out of it :) I've only had ethiopian food a couple times when I was growing up in Houston. Spicy, I love spicy, and sooooooooo good. Oh did I mention Greek food...I spent a semester in college in Spain, and duriing our 3 week mid semester break we took the train to Greece...I gained 10# in a week there... I've never pigged like that before or since then..once we found the bakery and the hundred different versions of backlava (sp) OMG sooooooooooooo good. Thank god I had some Pepto with me. :lmao: ALL WE DID was eat.and it was very afforadable, unlike Italy and France, where coffee was $5 a cup, no refills! That was almost 20 years ago so it's pobably$10 a cup now LOL. I've also learned how to make some Indian, Thai, and middle eastern dishes. Otherwise I'd have to make a 3 hr drive to the nearest city that has those restuarants...which I have done more than once to satisfy a craving! :lmao: PM me if u want the recipes...or I could fax them to you, probably easier to fax.
Enjoy
