Hey all you crafty ladies (and guys) out there:
Has anyone made a bag for their pelvic seat cushion? I am looking for patterns to make one or ideas on where I could buy one. I want something with handles to carry my pelvic seat cushion around in. I keep dropping it! Plus it would keep annoying people from asking what it is everywhere I go! The bags I have looked at in stores are to0 small or look like back packs. I just want a soft fabric bag with handles that my cushion would discreetly fit in and thought it would be easier to make my own. I can sew, but have never tried to make ANYTHING without a pattern! I would be so lost! LOL!
Anyone made their own?
Let me know how it turned out!

What size is it? I've seen cloth tote bags in crafting magazines and those might be big enough. I might still have one of those magazines still around. You know, every time someone ask you what it is just hit them up the side of the head with it. That should let them know what it is for.

I don't actually have a pattern but what about getting some heavy weight fabric, cut two squares larger than the size of your cushion....add the thickness off the cushion plus seam allowance and a little extra to enable the cushion to slip in easliy. Sew three sides together, turn over the top edge of the opening and sew. Then add handles made of the same fabric or you can buy plastic ones. If using the same fabric, you can sew the handles onto the top when sewing the top turnover.

Great ideas Rosalie and Mary! I need to measure it and go to the craft store. I just haven't been leaving my house much these past few weeks. But hopefully I will be feeling better next week! I can prabably do it without a pattern if I just leave enough room for seam allowance. I am just an ametuer sewer. I have meade children's and doll clothes mostly and ALWAYS with patterns, and the kind for newbie sewers!
Oh, I love the idea of hitting people with the seat cushion Mary, just don't want any lawsuits! LOL!
But I can definately visualize it when stupid people ask equally stupid questions!
