Colten has offically given up the pull ups :woohoo: We told him he could pick his own build a bear out when he went 2 weeks in big boy undies with no accidents so last night he got to go online and order a dinasour with an embroidered shirt that says "GO PEE PEE GO PEE PEE GO COLTEN" THis what we tell him and dance around when he goes potty. He picked camo shorts tennis shoes and socks LOL but didn't want any undies go figure. I thought for sure with it being a potty training reward he would want undies on the toy. Kids they never cease to amaze us.

That's so great Leslie. Griffin just isn't there yet, he'll pee but not number 2 yet and he only wants to go potty for me so it seems. Daddy and big brothers are going to step it up though while I'm at work. Good idea with the build a bear. We took Griffin there a few months ago but he wasn't really that into it so we'll have to try for a different reward.

I am so jealous! My Margot will be 3 next month and still has good days and well, pee & poop all over the house days!
YUCK! But I am trying to stick with undies when we are home, except for naps and bedtime. I am just really getting sick of constantly washing undies out in the toilet. Like I don't spend enough time in the bathroom as it is! LOL!
She tends to get confused when she is in pullups and just goes in them like a daiper. At least when she goes in her underwear it is uncomfortable and she wants to change right away. I feel like I am a potty training failure!
My oldest was developmentally delayed, so no one, including the Doctor, special ed teachers, service providers, and/or family gave me a hard time. She was our of diapers for good by the time she started pre-K and that was our goal. Margot is pretty advanced for her age, so everyone is giving us a hard time! It is so frustrating! My Doctor won't leave me alone about it. I think when she is ready, she'll do it, right? Anyways, congrats on your son's success! I will be so happy when we can stop buying diapers for good!

Rachel-- I am a firm believer in they will do it when thye are ready, we just started out with gum, everytime he used the potty he got a piece of gum and when he wanted "fresh tasting gum" he went to potty again. Then I gave him a calender with purple stickers and told him he had 30 boxes to give up the pull ups and stay in undies and clean undies at that and he could order whatever build a bear he wanted. He loves build a bears and he did it in 2 weeks no more pull ups no accidents YEah

My boys were always the easier ones to potty train! right at 3 and they were done in 2 weeks. I agree they have to be ready. My oldest son loved the undies with "the pocket"!! Shayn my youngest potty trained 2 weeks before we went to disneyland no accidents!!
My girl was the hardest! She had her daddy figured out!! She loved taking showers! my husband is a great hands on dad...except with girls! She knew that if she had a accident he would put her in the shower!! one day I came home from work and he was ready to blow a gasket. ALL DAY she had accidents!!! I had to explain to him that she was doing it on purpose!!! The showers ended that day!!!
