I owe so many replies to pm's and I also am trying to draft a sticky for the pain mgmt forum on the differences between addiction, tolerance, and dependence. I've not been feeling very well and now I've started topamax and I'm really, really loopy. My legs and arms feel like jello....well, my brain feels like jello too! Anyway, I wanted everyone to know I've not forgotten to answer my pm's, nor have I forgotten to write that post, it's just that I can't get my thought's organized enough right now to write much of anything. Just writing this much is tough. I hope that this dopey side effect will wear off SOON and I can get back to doing what I love on this board...for the moment, those of you that I owe replies to, I hope you'll understand what's going on with me. I WILL get back to you all, I promise.

For now, I'm mostly going to read the board, and really, even that is hard as the words kinda blur.

Just wanted to let you guys know.

Take the time you need to help your body get used to the Topomax. I am hoping that this works for you. (((hugs)))

I hope you do get used to it. As I have said in the past, meds just act so differently to me. While Topamax, made a difference in my burning pain that I have at night, that tingling sensation would just not go away. Even a couple days after I quit taking it, it took my body awhile to feel normal again. I never even increased it like my doctor told me to after a week or so.

Sandy, please be careful until you get used to the side effects. It's not easy to walk around with "jello" legs!
