Hi,
Tonight, I experimented with something called Ortho Options Conceptrol Contraceptive Gel. These are these inserts that insert vaginally like tampons and serve as contraceptives. I felt SO good and wanted to make love (FINALLY) to my wonderfully patient husband.
Anyway, after I used them I have been spasming and burning HORRIBLY down there. I just had to take a mepergan, percocet and a valium to get it under control.
What I was wondering is does anyone else have any experience with those? My husband didn't particularly care for it either because he said it was too thick and the consistency inside felt SO different than usual. I am on Depo and allergic to latex so I am trying to figure out some way to have a normal love life with my husband and get off Depo. It has been proven to cause significant bone loss and now, I have premature osteoporosis (hence the bone and joint pain). Like I really need anything else to worry about.
Anyway, any advice would be helpful. Because of a previous DVT which progressed to a pulmonary embolism and almost killed me in 2004 I can't take birth control with ANY estrogen in it.
Oh, we tried sheep skin condoms and they made me break out badly also.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
