I had the PST testing this morning and it was positive. The nurse practicioner thought it would be but wanted to confirm the diagnosis. Thankfully, I seem to have a mild case. For the last year I would have a flair only 1 or 2 days a month. This time it has lasted for several weeks, but the last couple haven't been nearly as bad as the first. I guess it is time to stop the denial and start the diet. I do believe that my diet does cause some of the symptoms. She is also treating the symptoms. We tried Proced and it didn't work at all so today I am starting a couple of new meds. I am so thankful that I found this doctor. The first one I went to didn't seem to think anything was wrong. This lady sees and treats lots of IC patients and is so knowledgeable and so willing to help. For those that are not getting results be proactive and find a doctor that will listen to you. I has made all the difference for me.

I'm so happy you were finally dxd! At least it will put your mind at ease. What medicines does she have you on now? I have a mild case too but sometimes it doesnt feel mild. I hope you start to feel better.

She wants me to try Vesicare and something called Euroblue? when I am flaring. She likes to start with 1 of 2 meds and go from there. She seems like she will really work with the medication issue. I am also trying the Prelief with meals and I think it is helping. I am really thrilled today because she did what she called a rescue instill after the PST and today is the first time in a while that I am not hurting when I go to the bathroom. To bad we can't just get that everyday.

Actually, you could get a rescue instill everyday! I do them twice a week...others do them daily if needed. Right now the nurse is doing them, but she's teaching me how to do it myself later this week. A number of people on the boards do rescue instills at home.
