anyone ever tried guaifenesin

I wasn't sure if this is where I should post this, but I have been seeing a applied kenisiology (sp) dr and he has been trying different things, he recently stated that he may not be able to help me further and to try seeing a dr that specializes in the guaifenesin approach and I am wondering if anyone has tried this and if it worked. It is the method of changing everything from make-up to deodorant, diet, etc. Before I invest time and more money I wanted to ask all you. I was diagonosed with IC, fibro, pfd in April but have had for a while and am on Elmiron 3x per day. Thank you for any input you all might have.

I tried it to, unfortunately, to no avail. I have never been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My sister has it so I bought her the book on the guai. treatment and tried it myself as it said it would help bladder problems. I got rid of a bunch of my makeup, shampoo, etc. The guai. pills made me flare. You never know though. It might help you. We are all different.
