Has anyone had problems with meds other than ibprophen causing flares? Does antibiotics bother anyone? Also does oab come and go like in flares?

I can't take Ibuprofen. Antibiotics always make my bladder feel better. What's AOB?

What other meds besides ibuprofen do you mean specifically? I think that most people with OAB have spells when it's worse than others...at least in my Mom's case that's how it is. When she's stressed, etc, she finds herself running to the bathroom much more often.

I need to take keflex for my tooth or my dentist also gave me Cipro. I can take either one. This last flare if it is started when I was taking Keflex, but I was also eating all sorts of food and loved diet coke (I miss my coke). This all seemed to start with ginko and then again with luvox. So I am scard of meds.

As for the OAB thing. I really do not have pain so I was hoping the first doc was wrong and I have that. My problems really do come and go. The really bad urgency last about a month and stays away for a few weeks (in the past 4 months).

Most people don't have problems with the antibiotics you mentioned. I know that I can take either and my bladder is fine. I'm sure someone out there has had a flare from them, but like I said, I did fine.

I had a really bad cold last winter and I took Tylenol Daytime and Tylenol Nighttime and found it made me "Flare" a bit.

I know this is going to sound kind of weird but it seems like I have problems taking antibiotic and Elmiron together. What's up with this I don't know. I do take Ibuprofen due to other health issues, but I have to watch how many I take during the day.

Take care and hugs, Trishann

I can't take Aleve or Aspirin. Any anti imflammatories. They always affect me the next day, causing terrible flares, so I feel they are misleading. They act as if they help and then cause terrible problems. I often wonder if that is the case with other medicines also.
