For me, all those types of drugs like Ditropan, Vesicare, etc, did me more harm than good. I WAS peeing less but I was swelling up so bad I couldn't get my rings off and couldn't see my ankles. I know a lot of people here have had luck with them, I just wasn't one of them.

I started taking Detrol LA last Thursday and absolutely LOVE IT. What a huge difference. I haven't had any problems with my bladder in over a week and have gone an entire 8 days without vicaden and pyridium. Its like a miracle. I've even had ice tea, red wine and latte.
I hope it works for you!

I've taken Vesicare & Detrol. Neither worked for me. My "miracle drug" is Levsin. No spasms and less leekage. Probably because the spasms stopped.

I have been taking VESIcare for awhile now. It does seem to work for me. In the past I have tried Detrol LA, and that the one that is a patch (I can't remember the name of it), and the Detrol didn't work and the patch just made me itch. I do notice a difference when I don't take the VESIcare and if I drink caffeine. I do tend to go more. I am trying to get back on my meds. With my 3 1/2 year old daughter in the house, I tend to forget things, including taking my meds. for my IC.
