Not sure how well this will work but it says you eat 3 servings of fruit every two hours and then you have supper. I'll have to re-read it because I don't remember it saying anything about eating breakfast or lunch. You are supposed to lose 1 pound a day. Think I will try it starting tomorrow. MIght have to re-do it a little but will see how it goes. ANyone else ever read about this diet and done it?

Becareful, to many of the wrong fruits could cause your bladder to flare and then you might not feel so well.

If I were to eat that much fruit, my problem would be diarrhea --- I'd have to end up eating in the bathroom.

I don't think I'd ever want to see a pear again after a few days on that diet!*
For me, my only IC-safe fruits are pears, dates, raisins, coconut. Dates, raisins & coconut are not low calorie foods, so I think this diet would be a disaster for me. Not sure I'd want to spike my blood sugar like eating only fruit all day would do either.
(*Of course, if I ever go into remission from IC, I won't eat another pear as long as I live.)
Given our limited diets, limiting it further just sounds depressing. What I've been doing lately that's working is that I'm eating normally, but cutting my portions in half & increasing my vegetables. And I'm taking 2 walks a day instead of one. No dramatic fast weight loss, but about 1/2 pound a week.

Even though I'm not extemely diet sensitive, I know what my triggers are. As for fruit, as long as I don't even them as a snack or on an empty stomach, I am usually ok... if I eat them with boiled eggs or another proten, or a carb.WHen I eat some fruits alone or on an empty stomcah, I will for sure have pain afterward. But I feel fruits as an intergral part of my diet, so will do whatever it takes to keep the pain away.

I don't think I could do that diet because eating too much fruit bothers my bladder too. Having one a day seems to be ok.....as long as it's not strawberries, oranges, bananas etc (all the good ones!)
