Please let me know. I'm just trying to put some information together for my appeal letter. Did anyone by any chance have Blue Cross?
Thank you!
Melbel,
If you don't get any information on the board, you might contact all of the support group leaders in CA. They might be able to ask amongst their groups or facilitate getting some information your way. Support group leaders are wonderful people even if you don't attend their groups. Despite living with IC, they devote their valuable time and limited energy to running a group. They are extremely generous people, so don't be shy just call or or e-mail, and ask if they have any advice for you. I think the link to Jill Osborne's post is the most up to date list:

Good for you appealing, despite going thru IC and Botox treatments! Perhaps if you get a yes, it will be one step forward for the IC community.

I have federal blue cross blue shield. When I had botox injections done back in March, blue cross blue shield paid for the cysto and the botox. The secret with BCBS is to have your doc document in your chart that you have rectal pain. BCBS will not cover botox for IC or for PFD but they will cover it for rectal pain. I'm not kidding. Even if your prior approval is denied, BCBS will cover the Botox if your doc states that you have rectal pain. My prior approval was denied but during pre-op, my doc made a note in my chart stating I had rectal pain and the botox was paid for. The appeal process with BCBS is long and frustrating but the outcome is totally worth it.
This board is amazing how quickly it connects people with information, which empowers people with their fight against IC.

My Insurance Did NOT Cover the Botox but my Doctor did something so that I did not have to pay for it. Not sure what or how but luckily I did not have to pay for it. Should I have done it a 2nd time I would have had to pay for it. My Insurance may have changed since this was a few years ago that I did it. My Doctor must have written it up the correct way. He also put down that he was doing a cysto and some other scar tissue things so maybe that was the key to mine. I have BCBS as well.
