Anyone have trouble getting a positive Preg. Test with IC?

I've taken two tests now, I'm 4days late, and both were negative. I tried taking one first thing in the morning, but I could only hold it for about 3hrs before I was ready to burst and the test said four hours. I'm never late and since Monday I've been having some back pain and some "odd" pains in my lower abs (not cramps) and tired and sooo thirsty. The suspense is killing me!!!!!

Any other reasons for being late? I know that I ovulated on the 27th.

Would love any advice!!!!!

I THINK that the first pregnancy test I took was too early and out negative and then I waited a few more days and that's when they came out positive. It's hard to remember though since Griffin is going to be three in a couple of weeks. I know it's hard to wait but give it a little more time and try again. I know that sometimes stress can make you late. I really hope that you're pregnant, I know that you've been trying!! Good luck :smile tee

Thats a good question..
IC does strange things to us.. So you never know.. Wish I had the answers for you..

You have to have enough HCG Hormone in your urine in order for the test to come up positive. It's way to early for you to have enough of that pregnancy hormone. The sure fire way to find out if you are preg now this early is to go in for a blood test. That will show at 4 days on. Every Preg test I took came up negative but then again I've never been pregnant even though I desperately wanted (for 3 years) to be and still to this day. I hope you are preg and have a wonderful little one to add to your family.

my 1st pregnancy was positive--of course i realized i was way late !!
my 2nd pregnancy i was on a 21 day cycle but too soon to tell if i was pregnant--the 1st 2 were negetive my 3rd test was positive. my last pregnancy kept showing positive but by then i knew i was before the test--i was so *****y when it was a boy so i knew early that i was and what the sex was!
so sometimes it is just to early to tell. you can always go for the blood test.

The first time I was pregnant I tested on the day that my period was due (and missing!) and it was negative. I think I was almost a week late before it turned positive.

I took my first test 5 days after I missed my period. I had thought I had ovulated at a certain time, but had actually ovulated and conceived a week later. Therefore, my positive result was so faint you could barely see it, and the digital test said negative (wrong!). I took another the next day, and it was still very faint. My urine was never more than 5 or 6 hours held. It took until 12 days after my missed period to get that strong dark positive line. It had me so crazy thinking it could be a false positive (it really was sooooo pale) I took 6 tests before I would believe it! So, don't give up hope.

Dr won't do a blood test until next Wed., so I guess I'm stuck waiting. Want to find out NOW!!!! If I'm not then I have a horrible flu or something. My whole body aches....
