Asthma?

I didn't really know where to put this...:hmm:

If anyone is asthmatic, do you tolerate the meds with your IC? I haven't been on my asthma meds in over a year, but with taking Atarax (the drying effects are irritating my lungs) and now I need to start them back up. Any problems with them hurting your IC?

I have asthma and have two inhalers that I take everyday. They are Flovent and Atrovent and Albuterol for rescue. I do not take any pills for asthma.

I have had no problems with my IC while using the inhalers.

Thanks for your feedback! I am going to have to go back onto Advair and today I had to take Albuterol to get me through today. I see my doctor next week about getting my Advair prescription (I haven't had any asthma symtoms in over a year so I haven't had any need for meds... all that has changed! Apparently Anti-histamines like Atarax can complicate asthma). I was talking with my pharmacology professor today and she said that the dry effects of the anti-histamines can make asthma worse because the drying of the airways causes even more constriction. That makes perfect sense now! I have been having more and more trouble with my asthma and that explained it all!

Yes, I have trouble when it is really dry out. I love it when it rains as I can breathe better. Anything that is drying is not good for asthmatics.

I hope you get some relief.
