Hi everyone...
I have just noticed that when i go pee, i urinate out some white specs...
I am an IC newbie... is this my lining that im noticing?
I used to notice it before i was diagnosed, but it seems more now, and i want to make sure i am not doing more damage to myself, as my uro still has not given me a prescription for any meds
My symptoms are mild, and he wants to see if i can feel ok on the IC diet alone. But if im passing lining, shouldnt i be trying to prevent that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry if this was a graphic posting.

Thanks

It can be either vaginal cells or peices of the bladder. It is very common with us.

wow you guys are so great... thanks for the quick replies!
Just curious, you mentioned vaginal cells... is there a reason i would be passing those? Should i be concerned about that?

The vagina is continually shedding cells, so no unless there is a discharge out of the ordaniry. This is how the vagina cleans itself is to shed old cells and replace it with new ones.

As the others said, the white specks are common. I notice that I have more of them if I'm really flaring. But, others have said the normal folks have them too and just don't notice them because they are not looking at their own pee. We are so wierd, aren't we.

Actually even a healthy bladder will shed some cells --- but we don't pay any attention to our urine until there is pain.
