What effect does water have on the urine? Does it make it less acidic?

It helps dilute urine so its less acidic and easier on the bladder. It helps to flush everything out too. I really try to drink as much as I can, but usually I can only do about 40oz a day.

When I'm really burning I picture my bladder on fire and I need to drink as much water as possible to put out the fire.

I drank almost 2 liters today at work and I'll drink a little bit more now that I'm home.

Water plays an important part of IC.. I am a firm believer the more you drink the better your bladder feels.. You might go more but it dilutes the urine and keeps you from having burning and you urinie is not as acidy..I drink about about a 2 liters a day...
