My 21st birthday is on Saturday and a bunch of us are going to our friends shore house for the weekend. I dont know if we will go out to the bar b/c my friend isnt 21 yet. But is there any suggestions on what to drink to stay safe? I have to drink on my 21st!!! We will be down there for 3 days full of sun tanning, fishing, eating out and drinking. should be relaxing and fun! Pray for me guys!
thanks for the suggestions

Have a great time! I sometimes drink a beer or 2 (Coors light!). I know it's bad, but it's so hard to be at parties and not drink sometimes. If you want a special drink, I've heard some people here have vanilla vodka with Ghirdelli white chocolate liquor. I haven't been able to find the white chocolate liquor in stores, but it sounds so good I want to try it sometime. If you do that and add like a half glass of half and half you might be okay.
I've heard some people have pear margaritas or some drink with blended pear. Also, a low acid white wine might work.
Drink a ton of water in between!
I have order a vodka tonic water before out in the bars. It doesn't taste good, but I think it's on the less damaging side of alcoholic beverages for me.

I wouldn't have anything that is mixed with any kind of citrus. Maybe a little (very little) Russian Vodka (it is made with potatoes) on the rocks??? I really am not up to date on drinks. It has been many years since I had my last drink made with alcohol except for a little wine. I am able to have that.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend on the shore. I am very envious. :)

I have no idea what to tell you. My drink of choice is a fuzzy navel, and that is horrible on the bladder!! Mike's hard lemonade is good, but again, not bladder friendly.
I do second the suggestion about drinking plenty of water...especially for hangovers!!!!
Happy 21st by the way!! On my 21st my hubby and I just went out to eat. Neither one of us are drinkers. I get drunk off of 1/2 a drink so I wouldn't drink even if I didn't have IC LOL.

What about the vodka with blueberry juice. It doesn't sound too bad. There is a 100% pure blueberry juice out there, but be careful because a lot of them are mixed with apple juice. The juice tastes a litlle like wine already because it's not sweet. ha ha
Hmm I'm trying to think of drinks no citrus. It's tough. Mijitos are one of my favorites. The mint and sugar is really good.

Have an awesome time!!!!!!
PS try taking some calcium or tums when you drink-helps me a lot.

When I drink, Vodka straight (on rocks) with lots of water I mean lots and lots of water, the only bad part is that then you have to get up ten times during the night to pee. I also would use tums or prelief. Have a great one. My 45th ha ha is the 19th. To be 21 again, oh well....
