nothing is more heart warming, and satisfactory then to watch the face of your child watching fire works for the very first time. The ohs and ahs followed by hysterical giggles was more fun then the fireworks themselves. :smile tee

We bought some for tonight and I can't wait to see Izzy's reaction...I just hope she's not afraid! (She hates loud noises)

Oh yea Cindy it's so cool to see their reaction. Griffin freaked out the first time, he was so excited. Now he's getting used to them since we can see them from our backyard all the time from the ball park.

While we don't have any kids, I do know I love to watch them watch fireworks -- especially since I can totally relate to them because I still get super-excited about fireworks.
Every year, when the fireworks tent opens in the parking lot of the supermarket, I jump up and down and beg hubby to take me in there!! LOL :biglaugh: He always buys me some and we set them off in our driveway, close to the road. Usually most of the neighbors are doing the same, and all the kids run around to see everyone else's... they get so excited, and usually I'm oooohing and aahhing just like them... LOL!!!

When we lived in Illinois, all of the neighbors on our block would get together with a ton of fireworks, food, drink and blow them off at dark. All the kids ran around and had fun...4th of July is one of my favorite memories of my childhood.
On a different note...
We were buying our fireworks yesterday and I said to Chris, "are you sure you can do this without blowing your thumbs off?" and he goes "oh yeah, I've done this plenty of times."
*Pause for silence*
"Maybe we should get band-aids."--Chris
Not very reassuring LOL.
