My pharmacist said that liquid Vistaril is no longer being produced. Has anyone who uses it regularly run into this unfortunate news? Thanks. Ratchada

Hi,
I've gotten Vistaril/Atarax in the pill form within the past 2 months...I live in NJ...
Hope this helps,
Kathy

Can you not use the pill form? How about Atarax?

I take hydorxizin pill form they are really tiny green ones. If you have a problem taking pills these would be ideal for you.

Vistaril is similar to Atarax and Atarax comes in a liquid form (I have to do liquid Atarax although the pill itself is farily small if you prefer that).

Vistaril liquid (suspension) is what is no longer available.

I'm sorry the Vistaril suspension is no longer available to you. It sucks when you have a med that works so well for you and then it's no longer available. Can your doc prescribe something similar to you that woudl work just as effectively? Are you taking it for IC? Can you take pills or was the suspension just most effective for you?
