I am having surgery & I'm very nervous!

I haven't been on in a while b/c I've been doing really good. I have 4 cysts along my vaginal wall though that need to be removed. Their location presses on a muscle that according to my physical therapist cause it to spasm creating pelvic pain. My hope is that once these large cysts are all removed, I will have no more symptoms of anything. My fear that surgery itself and cutting will create "nerve pain" issues and I'll go back to the hell I was in back in March before I got straightened out.

I'm actually considering cancelling my surgery b/c I'm so scared of having pain again. When you don't have pain at ALL anymore its terrifying to think it could come screaming back at you!!!!!

All doctors agree though that these cysts need to go.

Good luck!! Are the doing it laprascopicly? (sp) I had a cyst moved with a lap in Feb 2005. I was sore for a little bit afterwards but it wasn't bad at all. I'm willing to tell you all about it if you want, just PM me!

This surgeon is actually my 3rd opinion. My PT says they need to come out, my IC doctor says they should come out and now this surgeon says they need to come out. So, I just need to deal with it and get them out, LOL!

I wish you luck in the surgery. No surgery is fun, but if you need it done then just grin and get it over with is my attitude when I need to face the same.
