I have just finished reading a book by Dr. Larrian Gillespie entitled, "You Don't Have to Live with Cystits."

Has anyone tried the recommendations, including those about vitamins, contained in her book?

I have not read the book, but there is a difference between Cystitis (bladder infection) and Interstitial Cystitis.
Her book is about bladder infections and IC is not an infection. I don't want you to be on the wrong track

here is a description of the book gals, so you know what it is about.

Dr. Gillespie has had her medical license suspended. She is not able to practice medicine in California.

Here is an article on those issues. Most IC organizations no longer recommend her book.

From what I've read she's about as unethical as a doctor can get. I'd be leery of just about anything she has to say. Also, tigger gal is right, cystitis is totally different than interstitial cystitis.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my question. The book does have quite a bit of information specifically relating to interstitial cystitis, which is why it caught my attention.

But, I had no idea, whatsoever, that that the author had her medical license suspended in the wake of several malpractice suits.

Thank you, again.

I do not agree with the fact that her book is about infections and not interstitial cystitis. It is about both.
Dr Gillespie is the first doctor to find a connection between diet and IC. She does have some good info in her book but it is pretty old. I would go with a book that is more up to date.
