First of all, one of my cats had gone missing, and when we found him Friday night he was obviously sick. I stayed up most of the night with him Friday night/Saturday morning and really thought he was dying. He wouldn't eat, drink, he could barely walk, glassy eyed...then a miracle happened. He started to eat yesterday afternoon, then he drank some water on his own instead of me shoving it in his throat with a sterile syringe. That's great, thats the good news!
Then my computer crashed...so we worked on this stupid thing all day long and finally formatted the hard drive and I've lost everything...all my email addy's, everything...but my computer runs a LOT faster now. sigh
So....just had to vent..it really was a terrible day and I'm still exhausted, but I made it to this web page at least! :)

Yep...I would call that a terrible Saturday. (((hugs))) Sounds like your cat used one of his nine lives so he could come back to you. :)

It seems like he did Sharon. We were about ready to pack up and go to the emergency vet. I just have no idea what made him sick...I thought someone had poisioned him, or something...he was so sick.
Now I'm working on my computer trying to replace my programs that I lost...some of the stuff can't be replaced. I've learned that I need to have a back up copy of everything I care about on my hard drive now!

Hey.
It's me J.J.,
I sent you a pm this morning, before I had even seen this post. No wonder you were on my mind this morning when I got up. In case you didn't get the pm just wanted to know if you were ok. I guess God knew you needed prayer and a warm hug of which is about all I am able to provide right now.lol
be blessed

What an awful day!! That happened to our dog once and as it turned out she had gone near a neighbor's house, well the neighbor was using deer repellent or something and our dog ate it. We almost lost her that time.
I am glad kitty is doing much better, but sorry about the computer. Don't even talk to me about technology GGRR.

I'm so glad your kitty is okay. We learned the hard way about backups too.

What a terrible day!! Ugh... so sorry all that happened. I'm glad your kitty is doing better -- I would have been so upset if it had been my furbaby too!

It does sound like a crappy day. I'm glad kitty is feeling better and you didn't have to spend all that money at the emergency vet.

I think I might have found the culprit that made my kitty so sick. I noticed a HUGE line of ants in my back yard, on my sidewalk. I followed the trail and found a dead mole, or what was left of it. I bet he killed that mole, and brought it as a thank you gift to us and the mole made him sick. I SHUDDER to think of all the diseases he could have gotten from that mole. It's not the first one I've found out back, and I'm sure it won't be the last, unfortunately. He brought me a bunny last year...that freaked me out!! Poor little guy. All my cats have all their immunizations, so I don't have to worry about rabies, but who knows what else those little rodents carry!
Thanks so much for the replies. I'm STILL recovering from this weekend. I spent HOURS going through drawers and closets trying to find my Windows XP disc so that we could fix the computer. I wound up cleaning out my entire desk, my file cabinets, and 2 closets. I'm so sore I can barely move.
I'm about sick of messing with this computer too...but I finally got all the necessary programs back on here and it's running like a brand new computer! :::knock on wood:::

Oh jeezzz Sandy...our kitties LOVE birds and rodents. I'm sure kitty will be fine since you get her the shots and all. I am so glad he is ok!
