I received the date for my hearing for Social Security before the Administrative Law Judge it is October 10 at 11:00 a.m. I think that I’m getting nervous and anxious already. The judge is a woman & has not been with Social Security very long but she has been other types of Judges previously. I don’t know if this good or bad that she hasn’t been a judge with SS very long and I also hope it is good that she is a woman rather than a man. What does others out there think about the judge being a woman instead of a man. Her name is Lauren R. Mathon and I am wondering if anyone has heard about her.

Have most people who applied it here on ICN Message boards been approved when they had to go a hearing after being turned down twice. My attorney is supposed to be one of the best in the state. My case worker at SSI is the one who gave me the attorneys name because he told me that he thought I should have gotten it but he was over ruled by the doctor who reviewed the case. Probably one of the doctors who doesn’t believe in IC. Wish me luck as I will be so nervous waiting for the days to pass until the court date. I’m on seven medications for this IC now so maybe that will be an important factor two of them are for pain.

wishing you the very best Sandy!
I think that the whole thing boils down to how your case case presented. For me, I had all of my dr's write personal letters to add to the forms that they had to fill out and I followed thru to make sure they did it. I had a wonderful nurse that worked in my uro's office who sent tons of info on IC. And, I had the depression to boot. I only lost on my original application and won on my first appeal. I was just resently reviewed and all the panic came right back again! But, it was only a few weeks and we we notified that I would continue to get my benefits and from now on only be reviewed occasionally.....sure hopes that means I don't have to worry about it every two year <img src="graemlins/eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />

Wishing the very very best for YOU biggrin.gif
