Hi,

Just a note to encourage you that are trying for disability to keep fighting. I was denied my first time and then 12 months later I won, it was my second try. I did not have a lawyer, but a great uro and also the new lsiting for IC. I sent a ton of information and I wrote a very long personal letter,letting them know what IC, Vulvodynia had taken from me and I really put my heart into that letter. I feel it is a victory for all ICer's that I won.

The one thing you have told us is just because they dont approve you the first time, it's not the end of the game.

Only a very few will be approved on the first try; many are even denied the second time around. So nobody should give up after being refused.

Congratulations, Rene. To others tying for disability, don't give up after the second denial. It took me three times. I sent tons of articles, medical records, and even my personal daily diary.

Congrats Renee, When the time comes again, I am going to try for my fourth time. this time I won't give up. I just give up and I have a friend who has been there for me and offered her support when I was going through that 2 years ago and she told me to geta lawyer. I wished I had listned to her and I know it is not too late now. Hang in there. There is hope. Thanks for the suggestions too and welcome to the board.
