I know that vaginal pain is common with IC, but is is typical for it to start in your vagina and go out to your vaginal lips (I guess the labia)? The pain is such an unusual pain that I don't even know how to describe it, it's not really a cramp or a shooting pain, it's just a weird type of pain, and it makes me feel so tender done there to the point that I want to sit with my legs apart all day long. I was just wondering if anyone else feels like this.

Do you think you might have Vulvodynia? I get that kind of pain, but sometimes it is a burning pain. I have V.V. :(

I don't know, I guess I might. I am new to IC and hadn't even heard of Vulvadynia before I came to this site, but I looked it up and it seemed like I have all of the syptoms of it. Is this something I need to bring up to my Urologist or my Gyneocologist?

Hi Hillary,
My gyn diagnosed it for me, he/she will do a q-tip test and see if there is irritation. Good luck. :)

Jess,
You and I are really getting to know each other, aren't we? wink I called my Urologist during my lunch break and he told me to come in as soon as they have an open appt (which isn't until Tuesday) to rule out the Vulvodynia. He was very concerned with the pain I am having so hopefully I can get some answers with my appt. Thanks so much for all of your help!
Lots of hugs!

Hi Hillary,
LOL I feel like we've been talking all day! :D
I am glad you were able to get an appointment made, I sure hope it's something simple that is treatable and easy! Like you need one more thing going on, right? lmao  Please keep me posted on what the doc says!
Hugs and love,
Jess
