View Full Version : Curves for women causing flare??

I have been in a flare (mild) for a week -- for the first time in a year after I had gotten control with the IC diet. I thought it was new vitamins which I had started the week prior (tossed those) or maybe diet cheats (no new cheats, though, and I have been totally clean a week now with no improvement at all). I also started exercising about this same time the flare started. I joined Curves and have been walking. Walking didn't bother me last summer. The last two times at Curves I was hurting afterwards. Now I am wondering if the workout is not just aggravating the flare but maybe it was the cause of the whole thing!

Anyone else have trouble with the Curves workout, even doing low impact on the rest stations?

Thanks!

I actually did not join Curves because I noticed that a bunch of the stations would be too "bouncy" for my IC & anything with ab work will send me into a flare.

I have more success with yoga, walking, the elliptical trainer & the rowing machine.

Hope you find something you like!

It may be that you need to back off a little on your exercise routine.

I am able to work out ok.
I do a 20 minutes pilates video...which is mostly ab-work.
And I do 20 minutes of cardio...treadmill or the like.

No problems here.
