Pain that STARTS when SITTING DOWN...

I've been okay lately in bed or lying on the couch, or walking...but my pain has been starting when I sit on a chair, in a car, or on the couch. It feels like it starts at the opening of my urethra. It just kind of feels like my urethra is really raw. Does anyone else's pain start from sitting? Thank you!

HI! Yes that's how my urethra pain was. It's so miserable. Have you tried MSM gel for the pain? It has ended my urethra pain all together. I still use it once a day for maintence.....just in case......because I'm always worried it will return. But so far it hasn't. Good luck to you! Roxie

Hi, I've had this symptom for a long time now:-(. It's graduated to can't stand without getting pain and most of the time can't walk w/out pain for more than a short time. I'm sure not everyone goes that way.

Haven't found the answer yet. MSM gel didn't work for me but it might for you. Desert Harvest makes a gel for IC patients from Aloe Vera, I just got a sample and I'm going to try that. It's also supposed to help pain but I have to think the pain has to be more toward the outside of the urethra and not deeper, but Im not sure.

I know other people on the board have mentioned having the same problem.
