Would elavil and Elmiron alone not be good enough for mast cell inflammation?

I though that elavil had antihistamine properties and Elmiron is meant to have some kind of mast cell inhibitory action as well?

I have been on cetirizine (cousin or something of hydroxyzine) but not at the same time as elavil but found they didn't help me (tried for 4 months)
Elavil is the only thing that has helped with constant urge but not fully, but having to cut back now due to palpitations and abnormal pulse rate.

Often Elmiron, Elavil and Atarax are all taken together as part of the arsenal against IC. Elavil does have some antihistamine properties, but Atarax is considered to be an important addition to the picture for mast cell inhibition. The man who patented Cystoprotek stated he felt Atarx was one very important part of the picture. Hope you get your med combo figured out and it stops your suffering.
